Crypto, NFTs, DAOs and blockchains are making headlines… Could social innovators use these tools to support communities, increase participation, generate new income for our constituents, and hold big players accountable? Or is it all just hype?

And don’t we — as civic innovators — have an obligation to our communities to guide the tech sector on questions of governance and ethics?

We – Ashoka and the Mutualist Society, supported by Unfinished – started a learning journey for a select group of social entrepreneurs, mutualists, DWeb builders and influencers, to explore these questions.

We made introductions, heard voices from the field, had a first dip into the decentralized web universe, and took deep dives into blockchains, NFTs, DAOs and real life examples from the field.
